When one talks about marriage in an Indian setting, the term Manglik automatically crops up in conversation. A Manglik is a person in whose horoscope the planet Mars is placed in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 8th or 12th houses.
Origin of the Term:
While ‘Mangala’ as a term is considered to mean ‘auspicious’ and also the planet Mars itself, it is believed that the planet Mars is named thus because of the stringent penances, sacrifices and rituals that a native is expected to go through to prevent the ill effects caused by the planet.
The Most Feared Condition:
This is considered to be the most feared astrological condition of all since it is believed to have tremendous negativity attached to it. If a native is Manglik and he or she marries a Non-Manglik, it is believed that the shaadi between the two natives will not be a happy one. This condition is believed to have a negative effect on the health, wealth, happiness as well as longevity of the shaadi.
Exceptions to the Rule:
All in all, there is nothing to fear about this condition because for every problem there is an equally effective solution which will ensure you lead a happy marital life.
